SOLD to a collector in Saratoga Springs, NY.

I’m been painting up a storm for the Saratoga Arts Fest exhibition. It feels so good to get all that art out, even if it means working until 2 AM. Sleep is overrated…sometimes.
Here’s another piece being exhibited at the Center Gallery this year. Thanks to my mother-in-law for providing the reference photo.

We’ve gone from 30 degree weather to 80 degree weather in a matter of days. I thought I’d cool things off a bit with this little scene capturing the last minutes of light on a winter day. It was a challenge!Started off pretty rough, so much so that I almost gave up on it – chalking it up to the heat getting to me. But alas, I pushed through and I’m glad I did.

I’ve been trying to balance life to find more time in the studio. It’s been a challenge getting into the right groove. Yesterday was a good day – I got a couple little pastels in during nap time!

This is one of them – my version of Carol Marine’s submission for the DPW Weekly Challenge – The German Landscape. I really liked the strong light in the photo, and I think I captured it pretty well here. I may try the other later today during nap time. :)
